LOS ANGELES, Nov 14 — Those enormous worms that terrorised Kevin Bacon and the rest of the residents of that small town in Tremors look set to return for another round yet again
Bacon took to social media to reveal that they had wrapped filming the pilot for Syfy’s Tremors TV series. “So long to New Mexico. Had an amazing time shooting this pilot. Hope I can keep walking in these boots,” Bacon posted on Instagram.
Bacon starred in the 1990 cult hit monster movie that saw him fighting the Graboids and he is reprising his original role of Graboid-catcher Val McKee in this rebooted version for Syfy.
Tremors spawned four home sequels (with a fifth being released next year) and a one-season 2003 Syfy TV series, but this is the first time Bacon will be returning to the franchise.
The synopsis of the Syfy series reads: “Based on the 1990 film of the same name, Tremors picks up 25 years after the killer Graboid worms nearly destroyed the Nevada town of Perfection. Bacon plays Valentine McKee, who beat the sandworms once and will attempt to do it again; but first he’ll have to deal with age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex.”
Also starring are Emily Tremaine, Megan Ketch and Shiloh Fernandez.
