PBS and Bloomberg said in statements that they were suspending Rose’s signature interview show, distributed on both outlets, citing the allegations in the newspaper story.

CBS News said it was suspending Rose immediately while it looks into the matter.

“These allegations are extremely disturbing and we take them very seriously,” CBS News said in a statement.

Rose issued an apology but said he didn’t believe all the allegations against him were accurate.

“I deeply apologise for my inappropriate behavior,” he said in a statement.

“I am greatly embarrassed. I have behaved insensitively at times and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate.”

“I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realise I was mistaken,” he added.

Eight women have accused Rose of making unwanted sexual advances toward them, the Washington Post reported yesterday test sexual harassment allegations made against a prominent American man.

Rose routinely landed the biggest names in international politics, entertainment and letters for his interview show Charlie Rose, which was broadcast on PBS and Bloomberg TV.

An acute listener, Rose employed an engaging yet serious style in contrast to the bitter partisan arguments, cross-talk and raised voices on cable television.

True to the show’s sober tone, the set was simply a table and chairs with an all-black background.

The Pink scowl that’s an instant reaction GIF classic

Pink claims she was so touched by Aguilera’s performance she was moved to tears, Twitter-verse thinks otherwise. — Screengrab from TwitterLOS ANGELES, Nov 20 — Christina Aguilera took to the stage at the 2017 American Music Awards to sing a tribute to Whitney Houston — but it seems not everyone was impressed. Least of all, Pink.

As Aguilera performed a rousing rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard, cameras panned to Pink and caught her appearing to visibly cringe.

Reaction to Pink’s grimace lit up Twitter, especially since she and Aguilera allegedly have beef that goes back 15 years, triggered by a dispute over who would sing the high notes in their song Lady Marmalade which featured Lil Kim and Mya.

The row got so intense that Pink claims Aguilera tried to punch her in a nightclub, but she has since claimed that they have buried the hatchet.

After the performance, Pink was quick to clear up any confusion about her feelings towards her old Lady Marmalade singing partner.

“Yes. THIS. Christina f****** killed it tonight for one of our favourite singers ever,” she tweeted.

“This about Whitney, and I am in awe of Christina’s talent. Show the clip where I’m in tears, you negative Nancy’s.”

Naturally, Twitter users think otherwise.

To be fair, when the cameras cut to Pink again later in the song, and her expression had by then softened — she was shown smiling and applauding.
